June

June: Inner Monologue

Cole~ {blue eyes} is his nickname for me. His favorite soda is the ones from the coke machine at the Piggly wiggly down my street. His tall I'd say 6'0-6'2 always has this look about him when his friends around as if they're the ones annoying him. Never been one to obsess over Somone's looks but i have to say Cole is mighty fine at least in my eyes. His style is baggy and homeless when he hugs me, I can smell him the cologne on his skin and his hair I could melt.

June is stacked thick I know she wear's baggy clothes only to cover up her tummy, what she doesn't know I have her Picture from last summer in that gorgeous two-piece bikini as my screen saver. I only hug her other woman never could or will compete. She's so fucking short. 5'5-5'4 maybe I love the way she laughs and giggle. Her favorite chips are the lay's plan. When she is with her friends, she always looks so angary as if she is ready to fight someone. "Blue eyes" I say huskily.

He hums underneath his breath softly grazing his hand through his hair trying to grip some of those thoughts of why Cole would go for someone like June what makes her so dam special. Angel Place his hands in his pockets shifting in an open position on the couch tilting his head back, his hair hangs. "I guess." he says softly.

She giggles softly to herself to think, her eyes close Marla's hand covers her mouth. Adum and Cole seem close like best friends can never tell sometimes the way Cole is always so cold and quite towards Angel and Adum. She tilts her head slightly at the thought of how close nit the guys are, Marla's eyes roam over Toward's June who was talking with Yoko about her Boyfriend issues again. "Feels nice." she says with a big smile on her face.

Chapter one

Stupid Boy

Marla placed her hands over her notes her green eyes taking in her neat handwriting. “Hey Marla mind if we join you?” Yoko asks joy carrying in her voice Yoko’s thin small fingers place the books down. June was already sitting beside Marla reading a book the title said, ‘How to break a man’s ego nicely.’ June had a thing for reading certain books that involve hurting or taking down others. “June, you know you should try reading something more, I don’t know out of your comfort zone.” Yoko’s boyfriend suggests his voice hinting a bit of disgrace at her reading choice a bit degrading and offensive. Marla looks up from her notes nervously. “What exactly would you suggest I read?” June places her book down cross her arms. “Something more like ‘10 ways to perfect silky hair’ reading about harming a man is very...” Yoko’s boyfriend trails off into thought for words. his face contorts with a spiteful expression “Powerful, inspirational, intelligent” June disrupts his train of thought saying confidently. Yoko’s boyfriend stands to his feet the chair scraping the floor he looms over the table. “June, don’t you understand at all how the consequences you as a woman have when you read trash like this?” Yoko’s boyfriend saying with a stern voice challenging her to argue back. “Yoko is he serious.” June scuffs under her breath. “I’m sorry I didn’t know he felt like this until now.” Yoko voice carry’s a hint of apology. Marla sighs softly feeling as though she wasn’t going to get any studying done. “Can we agree on something before the guys get here like... I don’t know, how if we fail tomorrow, we might get a very harsh calls from our parents!” Marla makes an unarguable point ending the debate between June and Yoko’s boyfriend.

June rolls her eyes, but puts her book away, not wanting to casuse more tension. Yoko nods in agreement with Marla's suggestion, looking relived to change the subject. "that's a good point, Marla. we should definitely focus on our studies for now." Yoko let out a small sigh her lips pressed together taping her pencil upon the table trying to understand the bio-chemistry math, Her boyfriend finding her frustration a bit to entertaining to watch he couldn't help himself he lets out a small chuckle. June scribbles across her notes marking each with reminders.

"Hey Guy!" The voice was husky like a bear it was no one but Adum

waving and walking behind him was Cole and Angel. Both their faces grew grim when they saw Yoko's boyfriend finding pleasure in her frustration in the bio-chem math. Marla looks up from her notes, relieved for the distraction. Adum's booming voice and cheerful demeanor always seem to lighten the mood. Cloe and Angel nod in greeting, their expressions softening slightly as they take in the scene. "Hey guys," June greets warmly. Her eyes shift to Cole's blue one's his lock on to hers he pulls the chair out beside her and plops down opening his books.

During the passing hour the group counite to study together after another hour pass one by one until it was just June and Yoko pressed into the books June helping Yoko with her bio-chemistry math.

Chapter Two

Yoko come to Jesus moment.

As the hours pass, the group gradually disperses until only June and Yoko remain, hunched over their textbooks and notes. June patiently explains the complex bio-chemistry equations to Yoko, her gentle voice a soothing contrast to the tense silence of the room. "Yoko, can I ask you something?" June says, setting her pen down and looking at her friend with concern. "It's just... I've noticed how your boyfriend always seems to drop by uninvited during our study sessions, and he always has to put his two cents in about our reading choices. Plus, the guys find him a bit of a dick." Yoko blushes slightly at June's words, looking down at her book. "Yeah, he can be a bit... overbearing at times." She admits quietly, her fingers twisting in her hair. "He just means well, but sometimes his methods are a bit much." June leans in closer, her voice lowering to a conspiratorial whisper. "Yoko, let's be real here. Your boyfriend isn't just overbearing, he's practically hostile sometimes. Remember last week when he snatched that textbook from Angel's hands because he 'knew a better way'?"Yoko's blush deepens, and she bites her lip, looking away. "I... I guess he can be a bit intense. But he's just really passionate about learning and helping us succeed." She defends weakly, her voice lacking conviction. "And... and the guys just don't understand him."

The room grows still for a moment, only the faint ticking of the clock breaking the silence. June's expression softens with understanding but remains firm. "Yoko, I get it - I really do. He probably seems super supportive to you, and I know you care about him. But from our perspective..." She takes a long pause before gathering the proper words so she wouldn’t get to offend wanting Yoko to understand even Adum and Marla find red flags in yoko’s relationship with her boyfriend and Adum has been holding his tongue for the longest she started dating  this loser..it’s only a matter of time before. “Look Yoko let’s just get back to the dormitory.” As they gather their books, Yoko suddenly stands up abruptly, her chair scraping against the floor, making June startle slightly. "You guys just don't get him," she says firmly, her voice carrying a hint of defensiveness that was unusual for her. "He's not perfect, I know that."As they gather their books, Yoko suddenly stands up abruptly, her chair scraping against the floor, making June startle slightly. "You guys just don't get him," she says firmly, her voice carrying a hint of defensiveness that was unusual for her. "He's not perfect, I know that."  June stands to her feet and looms towards her. “I’m  trying to look out for you but if you insist on dating a loser like him that’s fine the way he treats you and talks down to you is disrespectful we all think so if he puts his hands on you Adum,Cole,Angel will come after him.”Yoko's expression drops slightly at June's direct warning, her hands shaking slightly as she clutch her books to her chest. "He would never..." she whispers, but there's a hesitation in her voice that neither of them miss. "He loves me," she adds softly, almost pleading with June to understand. June scuffs and walks away internally Frustrated.

Chapter three

The fight

As June stomps away, Yoko remains rooted to the spot, her defensive words ringing hollow even to her own ears. She glances around the emptying library, suddenly feeling very small and alone. June's parting sentence echoes ominously - "If he puts his hands on you..." Moments fade in the background people mostly students begin to leave the library. Adum and Cole joking around in the guys dorm lobby while Angel scroll through his phone texting Marla for details about weekend plans. That evening, Yoko finds herself alone in her room, staring at her reflection in the mirror. Her mind keeps replaying June's warning, "If he puts his hands on you..." She shivers, pushing the thought away. Yoko boyfriend knocks on her dorm room door when she answers the door there stood her boyfriend. He steps inside, closing the door behind him with a thud. He has that look in his eyes, the one that makes Yoko feel uneasy lately. "Yoko," he starts, his voice low and demanding, "We need to talk." He steps closer to her, his body language intimidating. locking the door behind him he looks into her eyes and comes out to say it word for word bruising yoko’s ego and pride."You've been spending too much time with those bitches, June, Adum, Cole and Angel. They're putting ideas in your head, making you question me." His hand reaches out, gripping her chin firmly, forcing her to look at him. "You're mine, Yoko." Yoko shivers and watch him."Your friends don't know shit about our relationship," he continues, his grip tightening slightly. "You know who loves you? Who cares about you?" He moves his face closer to hers, his breath hot against her face. "Me. Not those fucking judgmental assholes."Snatching away from his grip Yoko reach’s for her phone. His expression darkens immediately at her sudden movement, his hand snatching the phone from her grasp before she can reach it. "The fuck are you doing? Calling one of your little knight-in-shining-armor friends?" He tosses the phone across the room, making her flinch.
